As a baby I can be housed in a 40 gallon tank, with lots of hiding places and bark or mulch for bedding. I like to dig so make sure the substrate is nice and deep or have a burrow bin filled with dirt for me to play and dig in. I like it warm with a basking spot of 95 to 110 degrees.
As an adult I will need a home that about 8 feet long by 3 feet deep and 3 feet high. I still like to burrow and will love a burrow bin. I also like to climb but due to my size you need to make sure branches and accessories can hold my weight and support me
My favorite meals are:
Frozen thawed rodents
Ground turkey
Ground beef (though i will get fat from eating too much of this)
Quail eggs
Chicken; ground or in chunks, no bones please I don't want to choke
Repashy meat lovers pie
Fish (salmon or tilapia)
I make a wonderful pet when I am properly cared for!
